                PET POLICIES

                We want everyone to have a wonderful experience with us, so it’s essential that dog owners follow our pet policies:

                • Prior approval is required for pets, as we allow a limited number of pets at Firefall
                • Visiting pets must be current on all shots and in good health. We reserve the right to request any pet medical documentation
                • When checking in, your pet(s) must be declared and you must sign a copy of our pet policy as acknowledgement and agreement to all terms and conditions. A fee of twice normal charges will be charged for failure to declare
                • We welcome well-mannered dogs. Dogs weighing over 90 pounds may be allowed at our discretion and require approval at time of booking. No other types of pets are allowed
                • Pets must wear a name tag with owner contact information
                • No more than two pets per cottage/villa
                • Pets are not allowed on beds or furniture in cottages/villas or anywhere on ranch property
                • Pet owners are fully responsible for their pet’s behavior and for quickly attending to barking, threatening or disturbing behavior and pet waste
                • Pets cannot continue to bark or disturb other guests or employees, and we reserve the right to require immediate removal of any pet that displays dangerous and unacceptable behavior, including but not limited to biting, excessive barking or other noise, evidence of disease, or urination/defecation in public areas
                • Pets may not be left unattended in cottages/villas unless secured in a guest-owned or ranch-provided crate. Pets left unattended and making excessive noise will be removed from cottage/villa and a $100 disturbance fee will be charged
                • When outside of cottage/villa, pets must be on leash at all times with their dated registration tag attached to the leash
                • Pets may not be left unattended around the ranch
                • Guests must always clean up after their pets throughout ranch grounds
                • Pet waste must be deposited in exterior trash receptacles
                • Pets must be on leash at all times on ranch grounds
                • Pets may not be left unattended on cottage/villa decks
                • “Dog In Room” sign must be displayed on outside of your guest room door when pet is inside. For the safety and comfort of your pet and our staff, Housekeeping will not enter your cottage/villa while your pet is inside
                • Pets joining their owners in the Tavern outdoor dining area must enter the area directly from the outside and not travel through the interior space of the Restaurant or Tavern
                • Pets are not allowed in:
                  • Any indoor public spaces
                  • Gated pool/hot tub area
                  • Cottages/villas other than your own

                If any of the above policies are violated, Firefall Ranch reserves the right to ask guests to immediately remove their animal(s) from ranch premises for the duration of their visit or to depart early without refund, if necessary.

                LIABILITY

                Pet owners are solely responsible for any pet-related cleaning and repair costs incurred anywhere indoors or outdoors on ranch property – the cost of damages will be charged to the credit card used for your booking.

                Pet owners assume responsibility for any compensation or reimbursement provided to another guest staying on property brought about by disturbance caused by your pet.  Such compensation will be charged to the credit card used for your booking.

                By reserving a pet room, pet owner declares that that their pet is not inclined to bite. Pet owners are solely responsible for any and all injury their pet inflicts on other guests, pets or our staff.

                Pet owner agrees to release, defend and indemnify Firefall Ranch and First Light Resorts from any and all claims and/or damages related to your pet or pet’s stay at the hotel, including any claims by third-parties, and including reasonable attorney fees relating to such incident.

                Pet owners expressly waive and relinquish the benefits of California Civil Code Section 1542, which provides: “a general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which is known by him/her must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor”.
