New Year's Suggested Itinerary

The fun begins with our December Recreation Calendar featuring daily activities for all ages, recommended Hikes & Tours, Onsite Activities, and there are plenty more surprises in store over New Year's weekend.
DAY 1: Arrive at Firefall Ranch
Arrive at Firefall Ranch and kick off your New Year's celebration with a warm welcome. Settle into your cozy accommodations and take in the charm of the Ranch.

Test your skills at our new Skating Rink, the Pavilion for Shuffleboard and Ping Pong, or pan for gold at our new Gold Panning station. Throughout the property you'll find play areas suitable for both kids and kids-at-heart.

Enjoy a special dinner at our Tavern, complete with gourmet dishes and festive ambiance.
DAY 2: New Year's Eve

Start your day at Firefall Ranch with a wholesome breakfast at our restaurant, fueling you for a day of outdoor adventure. Then, visit our Recreation Desk to craft your perfect outing, whether it’s a guided hike, snowshoeing, or a personalized excursion, our team will help you explore the area’s most breathtaking spots.


Guests will enjoy a buffet dinner with something for every taste, including options for kids. The celebration kicks off with the Kids’ NYE Celebration from 8–9:30 PM, featuring a Best Dressed contest at 9:15 PM. Adults continue the fun at 9:30 PM, followed by the Stayin’ Alive Dance Contest at 10:30 PM and the Adults’ Best Dressed contest at 11 PM.

Toast to the New Year at midnight with a champagne balloon drop, then continue the fun with music, dancing, and photo booth memories that will last all year long. It’s the perfect way to celebrate winter, adventure, and the magic of Firefall Ranch.

DAY 3: New Year's Day

Start your day at Firefall Ranch with a leisurely breakfast, then enjoy a variety of outdoor adventures across our 300-acre property: forest disc golf, nature hikes, ice skating, bouldering, and gold panning.


Warm up by a cozy fire in the Guest Lounge, filled with comfy chairs, games, and books. Finish your day with dinner at the Tavern, a holiday-inspired drink from the Tavern, or nighttime stargazing from the hot tub under the clear mountain sky.

DAY 4: Depature
Thanks for spending the holiday with us and we hope to see you again next year. Make sure to stop by our General Store on your way out for a quick bite and some souvenirs. Alternatively, you can join us for lunch, unwind, and savor football games in our inviting tavern.

If you’re leaving Firefall Ranch using Highway 120 West, you’ll pass through the charming Old West town of Groveland. You may want to stop by a locally loved coffee shop, Mountain Sage Coffee & Nursery, where you can sip on lovingly prepared homemade beverages and home-baked goods in their enchanting gardens. You’ll also love the art gallery featuring incredible images and stories created by local photographer, naturalist, and all-around great guy, Robb Hirsch, who also leads our photography workshops in Yosemite.
